who played more than 150 matches for Leicestershire (England) and Northern Transvaal (South Africa) across a career that ran from 1980 until 1989.
A right-handed batsman, he scored over 4,000 runs across the first class and List A cricket formats. Since 2012, he is MCCU Head Cricket Coach at Loughborough University.
Russell is also an ECB Level IV Certified Coach. In 2011, he was awarded coach of the year and also obtained ECB’s ‘Outstanding Coaching Achievement’ award.
